Eaton's Electrical Solutions division is seeking a seasoned Sales Manager to lead our Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) sales efforts. This role can be based in El Paso, TX or Charlotte, NC, with relocation assistance available for qualified candidates within the United States.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing incoming ATS order volume and mix to ensure the product line meets or exceeds top-line sales, price, and market share targets. This includes order negotiation, quotation activities, providing daily commercial guidance and technical support, as well as other functions required to support profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities- Guide and motivate a team of sales engineers to secure manufacturable and profitable orders.
- Support the National Account Sales team by providing advice and guidance to develop solutions and implement action plans.
- Provide training and development opportunities to expand the sales engineers' responsibilities and provide a foundation for career advancement.
- Represent the product line in customer presentations, marketing, and financial presentations.
- Advise management, engineering, and product development on market changes in customer requirements, service, product features, industry standards, and competitive product offerings.
- Provide the latest tools and resources to enhance sales engineers' efficiency and productivity.
- Contribute to strategic planning, road-mapping, and profit planning processes.
- Interact directly with the sales team to execute on annual orders and monthly forecasts.
- Work closely with plant operations to prioritize customer order milestones.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum five years of electrical industry experience.
- Two years of management experience.
- Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license.
- Ability to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Five years of electrical industry sales experience.
- Sales experience within the power distribution and control sales market.
- Channel management experience.
- Experience working with consulting engineers.
- Experience managing/motivating distributors and channel partners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to respond to a variety of circumstances while demonstrating superior selling skills.
- Electrical product knowledge.
- Strong drive for results and self-motivation.
- Solid business acumen and decision-making skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Knowledge of competitor products and channels in the power distribution and control industry.
- Project management skills.
- Ability to provide technical solutions built around customer needs.
- Skilled in time management and negotiation.
- Experience with preparing sales proposals and presentations.
