Key Responsibilities:
The primary duty of this role is to oversee various liquid recycling systems, along with waste reclaiming and storage systems. The individual must adhere to general machine shop practices while working with minimal supervision. Essential job functions include:
- Following established safety protocols and 5 "S" standards (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to perform daily tasks, including proper lifting/moving techniques.
- Setting controls on the control panel and activating systems; draining and cleaning all systems.
- Inspecting control panels and maintaining accurate written records of all observed data as required, and verbally reporting findings to the supervisor.
- Replacing return lines, pumps, valves, filters, float switches, and other equipment as necessary.
- Inspecting all equipment and systems for leaks, reporting findings to the supervisor, and repairing leaking containers when possible.
- Analyzing fluids, mixes, and fluid levels according to verbal and written instructions, making necessary adjustments, and notifying the supervisor of observations.
- Removing waste products and transferring fluids to storage facilities for further use and/or processing.
- Analyzing wastewater samples as directed by the supervisor and preparing a written monthly report of the results for the Safety Director.
- Preparing and analyzing samples of various fluids as directed by the supervisor.
- Painting machinery and equipment as required and maintaining an accurate written paint inventory.
- Preparing and sending coolant samples to concentrate manufacturing lab for analysis.
- Monitoring parts inventory and maintaining accurate written records.
- Performing general housekeeping duties.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions.
  • Physical capability to stand, stoop, bend, walk, and reach.
  • Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs without assistance.
  • Knowledge of waste treatment techniques, chemicals, and physical reactions.
  • Valid driver's license and capability to operate vehicles such as pick-up trucks and forklifts.
Working Conditions:
The role involves exposure to general shop and machine tool noise, dirt, grease, chips, and coolants from machine tool operations and assembly. The typical working position is standing or walking throughout the facility. Some repetitive lifting/moving may be required based on daily assignments. Work may occur from ladders, platforms, or scaffolds, both indoors and outdoors, in confined spaces or varying temperature conditions. Proper lifting/moving techniques are essential for items exceeding 50 lbs.
Tools Required: Standard machine tools are necessary for most daily responsibilities. Any specialized tools or measuring equipment will be provided by the company as needed.

Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent; Trade school education preferred. A minimum of two years of experience in industrial waste and recycling within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
