About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Meat Department Manager to join our team at The GIANT Company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective and profitable management of our meat department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process deliveries, including breaking down loads and rotating stock in the cooler.
  • Weigh, price, and label products to ensure accurate inventory and sales data.
  • Stock cases and prepare valued-added products to meet customer demand.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage inventory and ordering processes to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
  • Train and develop team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Monitor and analyze sales, gross profit, shrink, and labor targets to identify areas for improvement.
  • Reconcile invoices and execute weekly merchandising plans to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Ensure departmental compliance with sanitation and food safety regulations.
  • Process cuts for service counter or special orders to meet customer needs.
Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to read, communicate, and understand company policies and safety regulations.
  • Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements for the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to use or learn to use equipment and tools used in the role.
  • Must meet company performance standards, including regular attendance.
  • Must be able to work in a cold environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Serve Safe Certification.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Minimally 1-year relevant work experience.
