Job Overview:

As a representative of Intermountain Healthcare, you will be the primary contact for patients entering our facilities. We seek individuals who reflect our core values and are dedicated to building collaborative relationships with patients and fellow caregivers to ensure the highest level of satisfaction.

Your role is crucial in providing an exceptional customer experience by addressing and fulfilling patient needs related to intake and care. This includes welcoming and checking in patients, as well as confirming the accuracy of the information they provide.

This position also offers a quarterly bonus incentive based on patient volume and satisfaction metrics.


Key Responsibilities:

- Greet incoming patients in a courteous manner to assess their needs and ensure that service expectations are not only met but exceeded.

- Efficiently update and verify patient demographics, insurance details, and contact information, assisting customers in completing necessary forms for regulatory and billing purposes prior to clinical care.

- Scan required documents and inform patients about financial assistance options. Guide patients on subsequent steps and communicate any delays or wait times.

- Schedule appointments promptly using provider templates and scheduling protocols. Proactively collect payments from patients for current and past medical services, ensuring compliance with payment handling procedures.

- Support the administrative functions of the clinic by managing reports, addressing patient inquiries, and completing necessary paperwork. Collaborate with other care teams and staff to provide a seamless patient experience.

- Complete all required training and pass-off assessments.


Minimum Qualifications:

- Six months of experience in customer service with direct interaction with clients.

- Basic computer skills, including word processing and data entry.

- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.


Preferred Qualifications:

- One year of customer service experience, particularly in a healthcare setting.

- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work independently in a clinical environment.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Physical Requirements:
- Ability to interact with others, requiring effective communication of information. - Proficient in operating computers and office equipment, necessitating dexterity in fingers and hands. - Capable of seeing and reading computer screens and documents. - Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods while performing tasks on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
