Position Overview:
This role is designed for individuals who are proactive and dedicated to enhancing the patient experience. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining effective communication with clinical partners to facilitate a seamless patient journey.
- Providing consistent coverage in assigned areas to ensure prompt service delivery.
- Meeting departmental productivity standards and attendance requirements.
- Handling insurance verification and authorization processes efficiently.
- Collecting and managing patient data accurately to minimize record duplication.
- Ensuring all financial assessments and eligibility checks are thorough and up-to-date.
Key Responsibilities:
Insurance Verification:
- Engaging with insurance providers to confirm eligibility and benefits.
- Obtaining necessary pre-authorizations and ensuring compliance with CMS standards.
- Documenting all interactions and following up on outstanding authorizations.
Patient Registration:
- Accurately registering patients for various services and ensuring compliance with regulatory policies.
- Gathering essential demographic information and confirming insurance details.
Financial Management:
- Providing patients with clear estimates of their financial responsibilities.
- Facilitating payment arrangements and collecting necessary payments.
- Connecting patients with financial counseling resources as needed.
Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications include:
- One year of relevant experience in healthcare or customer service.
- Experience in patient access or collections.
- An associate's degree is advantageous.
