Position Overview:

This role is designed for individuals who are proactive and dedicated to enhancing the patient experience. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining effective communication with clinical partners to facilitate a seamless patient journey.
  • Providing consistent coverage in assigned areas to ensure prompt service delivery.
  • Meeting departmental productivity standards and attendance requirements.
  • Handling insurance verification and authorization processes efficiently.
  • Collecting and managing patient data accurately to minimize record duplication.
  • Ensuring all financial assessments and eligibility checks are thorough and up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities:

Insurance Verification:

  • Engaging with insurance providers to confirm eligibility and benefits.
  • Obtaining necessary pre-authorizations and ensuring compliance with CMS standards.
  • Documenting all interactions and following up on outstanding authorizations.

Patient Registration:

  • Accurately registering patients for various services and ensuring compliance with regulatory policies.
  • Gathering essential demographic information and confirming insurance details.

Financial Management:

  • Providing patients with clear estimates of their financial responsibilities.
  • Facilitating payment arrangements and collecting necessary payments.
  • Connecting patients with financial counseling resources as needed.

Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications include:

  • One year of relevant experience in healthcare or customer service.
  • Experience in patient access or collections.
  • An associate's degree is advantageous.
