Your Role in Our Success

Are you ready to play a vital role in delivering transparency and insights into our business markets for Ramboll Americas? We are seeking a talented and engaging individual to join our Line Management team, primarily supporting our Country Management departments.

As our new Business Controller, you will collaborate within a diverse team of professionals. You will work independently as well as alongside the Business Finance team.
Key Responsibilities
The primary duties include generating monthly reports, conducting variance analysis, and providing data-driven insights to key stakeholders, including market leadership, the Head of Business Finance, and the Americas Finance Director.

For this position, we expect you to have:

- A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- 3-5 years of experience with a strong grasp of budgeting, forecasting, month-end variance analysis, management reporting, reporting tools, revenue recognition, and stakeholder management.

Experience in cost controlling and support functions is advantageous. You should be proactive and able to collaborate with key stakeholders to develop management teams, reports, and processes.

- Excellent communication (written & oral), interpersonal, and organizational skills

- Ability to effectively lead meetings in a remote environment with stakeholders and team members in various locations
- Periodic travel may be required.

This position is hybrid, requiring attendance in the office three days a week.

Responsibilities in Business Controlling:
- Assist market leadership in business planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Monitor business performance and generate variance analysis for management
- Provide management reporting on financial matters at all levels
- Ensure accurate month-end results at department, division, market, and PBU/GP levels, including cost accruals, revenue recognition, WIP follow-up, write-downs, and claims handling in compliance with Ramboll policy.
- Engage in process optimization for business and project controlling
- Participate in relevant meetings and provide informed input for commercial decisions
- Offer complex financial advisory and contribute to business development
- Support and advise management on financial project management issues
- Alert management to financial risks related to projects
- Provide management with information for commercial decision-making
Responsibilities in Cost Controlling:
- Provide decision-making support for Heads of Department & FD managing overhead costs
- Deliver timely and accurate monthly close in line with local and global procedures; track risks and opportunities for the latest forecast
- Foster a continuous cost improvement mindset, proactively identifying opportunities to optimize costs and supporting their implementation
- Manage the budget and forecast process for these departments, guiding decisions on the future structure of these functions.
