Salary Information

The estimated annual salary range for this position is between $80,000 - $110,000, depending on qualifications and experience.

Nursing Role Overview

As an I/DD Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide nursing services to assigned sites, consultation, and clinical supervision related to the provision of care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct initial and annual nursing assessments on all individuals, following established program formats.
  2. Develop and implement plans of nursing service for individuals at assigned sites, creating policies, procedures, and training staff as needed.
  3. Provide referrals to medical or mental health providers as required, and participate in appointment scheduling and tracking.
  4. Offer direct clinical supervision to assigned staff, participating in clinical meetings and serving on committees as necessary.
  5. Maintain accurate records, including MARs, tracking, and medical charts, meeting agency requirements.
  6. Provide education and training to staff on medication certification, new employee orientation, and specific nursing needs as required.
  7. Act as point of contact for medical providers and families regarding individual nursing needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Licensed and registered as a Registered Nurse by the State of New York Education Department.
  • Specialized training or one year of professional experience in treating developmentally disabled individuals.
