Job Title: Social Media Content Creator

About the Role:

Human Rights Research Center (HRRC) is a nonprofit organization that aims to bridge the gap between academic research and the wider public. We are seeking a Social Media Content Creator to join our team and assist in the development and implementation of social media content plans for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating and publishing social media content, including drafting posts, creating graphics, and publishing content.
  • Monitor HRRC's social platforms and recommend when to like and share content.
  • Research and share best practices in digital media and monitor how other nonprofit organizations are using digital channels.
  • Work with the management team to develop and execute a response strategy to negative feedback on social media channels.

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal, writing, and editing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Experience working in a nonprofit setting and using Canva and Wix.

Commitment:

This is a volunteer, virtual opportunity with the expectation of 3-5 hours per week. At least a six-month time commitment is required.
