Job Overview

Cephas Consultancy Services Private Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Manager Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our nursing department, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services in accordance with established hospital and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assure the delivery of quality department/clinical services in accordance with established hospital and regulatory/accreditation agency standards.
  • Promote a positive and professional image and serve as a role model, coach, mentor, problem solver, and resource for staff and peers.
  • Responsible and accountable for the overall operations of the assigned department, including the development of department goals and objectives, management of personnel, and preparation and monitoring of department budgets.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of optimum age-appropriate patient care.
  • Participate in the development of evidence-based standards of care, policies, and procedures for the clinical area of responsibility.
  • Ensure employee compliance with hospital and human resources policies and procedures, as well as employee competency and education requirements.
  • Participate in the performance improvement program as defined by the organization and the division of nursing.
  • Assure the provision of a safe employee/patient environment and maintain knowledge related to the operations of the department.
  • Work collaboratively with all levels of the hospital interdisciplinary team and promote the team concept within the department and hospital-wide.
  • Demonstrate positive customer service, foster positive employee relations, and ensure that staff adheres to the customer service behavioral standards.
  • Support hospital initiatives and projects and function as a positive change agent.
  • Participate in community service.
Requirements
  • Current NY State License
  • BSN required or be matriculated in a BSN program with a plan for graduation by 1/1/2022 if hired prior to 2016 and by 1/1/2020 if hired between 2016 and 1/1/2018 and discussed with the Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services/CNO
  • BLS certification (through American Heart Association) required
  • ACLS certification (through American Heart Association) preferred unless required by employees in the department supervised then the certification is required
  • Certification in area of specialty, or CNML (Certified Nurse Manager Leader) preferred, but must be obtained within 3 years of hire date
  • Demonstrates a basic knowledge of management skills
  • Previous management/leadership experience preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant acute care experience
  • Ability to function as a staff RN
  • Demonstrates excellence in clinical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
