Donor Floor Technician

As a Donor Floor Technician at Octapharma Plasma, you will play a vital role in the collection of plasma for life-saving medicines. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operation of our donation center, maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Comply with all regulatory requirements, including federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company-specific procedures.
- Review donor records for accuracy and completeness, labeling and ensuring each unit and sample is accurately labeled.
- Set up and prepare all equipment and disposable supplies for venipuncture and plasmapheresis procedures.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, ensuring proper sanitation and cleaning of equipment and the work area between donors.
- Perform calibration and maintenance of automated plasmapheresis machines, ensuring optimal performance and quality of product.
- Monitor donors and maintain awareness of any reactions to ensure donor safety, reporting all unsafe situations or conditions to Senior Phlebotomist and/or Donor Center Management.
- Provide excellent customer service, greeting and acknowledging donors as they are assigned to the donation area and after completing the donation process.
- High school diploma or equivalent required, with a minimum of 1 year experience in a laboratory or warehouse environment.
- Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts, with the ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
