Key Responsibilities:- Comply with federal, state, and company-specific regulations to ensure the quality of product, employee, and donor safety.
- Review donor records for accuracy and completeness.
- Label and ensure each unit and samples are accurately labeled.
- Set up and prepare equipment and disposable supplies for venipuncture and plasmapheresis procedures.
- Maintain a proper ratio to ensure donor safety and quality of product.
- Operate automated plasmapheresis machines, including response and evaluation of alarms and machine errors.
- Monitor donors and maintain awareness of any reactions to ensure donor safety.
- Dispose of contaminated disposable equipment and biohazard waste.
- Ensure proper sanitation and cleaning of equipment and work area between donors.
- Perform calibration and maintenance of automated plasmapheresis machines.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts.
- Ability to lift up to thirty-five pounds.
- Ability to enter an environment with a temperature of -40C for short periods.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a laboratory or warehouse environment.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Demonstrates consistency and reliability.
- Formal training.
