Key Responsibilities:
  • Comply with federal, state, and company-specific regulations to ensure the quality of product, employee, and donor safety.
  • Review donor records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Label and ensure each unit and samples are accurately labeled.
  • Set up and prepare equipment and disposable supplies for venipuncture and plasmapheresis procedures.
  • Maintain a proper ratio to ensure donor safety and quality of product.
  • Operate automated plasmapheresis machines, including response and evaluation of alarms and machine errors.
  • Monitor donors and maintain awareness of any reactions to ensure donor safety.
  • Dispose of contaminated disposable equipment and biohazard waste.
  • Ensure proper sanitation and cleaning of equipment and work area between donors.
  • Perform calibration and maintenance of automated plasmapheresis machines.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts.
  • Ability to lift up to thirty-five pounds.
  • Ability to enter an environment with a temperature of -40C for short periods.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a laboratory or warehouse environment.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Demonstrates consistency and reliability.
