Healthcare Housekeeping Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Healthcare Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Reno Behavioral Healthcare Hospital. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of patient rooms, auxiliary rooms, and other areas throughout the hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, offices, and waiting areas using proper cleaning guidelines and procedures.
- Clean and maintain floors, equipment, and furniture according to infection-control policies.
- Clean glass interior windows, woodwork, toilets, washrooms, and fixtures.
- Clean tables and dining areas.
- Replenish paper towels, soap, and toilet paper within the facility.
- Handle and dispose of waste using standard procedures.
- Maintain all cleaning equipment and supplies according to prescribed standards.
- Monitor inventory of supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper.
- Assist the Housekeeping Supervisor in ensuring the daily work is completed.
- Assist the Housekeeping Supervisor in training new employees in proper cleaning and disinfecting protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- CPI certification obtained within 60 days of hire.
- High school level reading and writing skills.
- Two years of housekeeping experience within a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of cleaning and disinfectant products.
- Knowledge of infection control procedures.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to follow all applicable sanitation and safety requirements.
- Customer-focused.
- Skills in planning and organizing.
- High energy levels.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with people with a variety of backgrounds and educational levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, expanding environment.
- Ability to work and concentrate amidst distractions such as noise, conversation, and foot traffic.
- Ability to handle interruptions and multitask.
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand for sustained periods of time.
- Walk, push, pull, lift, carry objects from a lower to higher position or horizontally from position to position or otherwise move objects.
- Feel sizes, shapes, temperatures, and textures by touching with skin, particularly that of the fingertips.
- Express or exchange ideas orally and potentially loudly, accurately, or quickly.
- Minimum standard of hearing ranges.
- Lift up to 50 pounds, exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently.
- Minimum standard of visual acuity with or without correction.
- While the worker may possibly be subjected to temperature changes, the worker is generally not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions as the work is predominantly inside.
