Clinical Laboratory Supervisor

Prime Healthcare is a leading healthcare organization that values quality, compassion, and community. We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Supervisor to join our team at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada.
ResponsibilitiesThe Clinical Laboratory Supervisor will be responsible for the daily operation of the laboratory section, providing consultative services to the medical staff, and overseeing the section's performance improvement program. This individual will also be responsible for the technical and fiscal management of the section, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, and assessing staff competency.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field, a valid GENERAL SUPERVISOR license from the State of Nevada, and a minimum of 3 years of clinical laboratory supervisory experience. The successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate leadership and coaching skills.
QualificationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science (AKA Medical Lab Science or Medical Technology) or related BS from an accredited college.
- Meets the education and certification requirements for licensure and possess a valid GENERAL SUPERVISOR license from the State of Nevada - or is eligible to work while pending.
- Minimum 3-years clinical laboratory supervisory experience required.
- Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and speak fluent English.
- Ability to work and problem solve independently.
- Possesses excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize leadership and coaching skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively within a leadership team.
- Sexual Harassment training within 90 days of hire and annually thereafter.
- Flexibility to work any shift as needed.
