Overview:

The ideal Director of Nursing candidate is a detail-oriented and organized leader with a strong knowledge of policies and governmental regulations. They should have a passion for supporting and training staff to provide exceptional care to residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall operations of the Nursing Department in accordance with Company policies, standards of nursing practices, and governmental regulations.
  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the nursing services department, as well as its programs and activities, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern long-term care facilities.
  • Assist with the development and approval of the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care for each resident in coordination with the physician, Medical Director, nursing staff, and outside consultants.
  • Confirm accurate completion of forms/reports for the admission, transfer, and/or discharge of each resident, including the nursing portion of the PAE, Initial Nursing Assessment, Minimum Data Set (MDS), Resident Care Plan, and the Annual MDS.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse in good standing with a current state license.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in long-term care and/or acute care setting.
  • Minimum of two (2) years management/supervisory experience.
  • Current/active CPR certification.
