Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietary Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of the Dietary Department. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that our patients receive high-quality nutritional services in a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Dietary Services and/or the Dietitian in developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Dietary Department, including food preparation, service, and sanitation.
  • Develop and manage budgets for food, supplies, and labor to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to design and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of our patients.
  • Ensure that all staff members receive proper training and support to perform their duties effectively.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure that the Dietary Department meets or exceeds all regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in dietetics or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or other related medical facility.
  • Registered as a Food Service Director in this state.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
