Responsibilities:
  • Warmly greet and register patients, guiding them through our established protocols.
  • Assist patients with completing necessary forms and documentation, including medical insurance information.
  • Verify patient information for accuracy, ensuring completeness of billing details.
  • Communicate office procedures and policies clearly to patients.
  • Retrieve and update patient records, ensuring the availability of treatment information.
  • Manage patient flow efficiently, adhering to scheduled appointments.
  • Answer incoming calls promptly and address patient inquiries with professionalism.
  • Schedule patient appointments effectively, minimizing reschedules.
  • Process patient payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Obtain external medical reports and maintain patient records according to medical professional requirements.
  • Respond to information requests promptly and courteously.
  • Assist patients with registering for copay assistance foundations when applicable.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service, including active listening, clear communication (both verbal and written), and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in utilizing multiple software systems for data input and retrieval.
  • Ability to learn and apply ophthalmology and retina terminology effectively.
  • Fluency in Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking).
