Terminal Operations Specialist

As a Terminal Operations Specialist at Estes Express, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our terminal facilities. This includes performing general dock and warehouse cleaning, maintaining the employee break room, and ensuring the yard and apron space surrounding the terminal are kept tidy.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain the cleanliness of the dock and warehouse areas, including sweeping, mopping, and disposing of trash and debris.
- Empty all dock platform and dock restroom trash receptacles and maintain all safety ropes at each dock door.
- Break down all wooden crates and delivery debris to maximize dumpster capacity and collect and stack all wooden pallets.
- Collect and organize all dunnage materials and trailer load bars, and clear walkways and all public access areas during winter weather.
- Apply salt to walkways as necessary and receive and organize all terminal supply orders in the appropriate locations.
- High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED), or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- 18+ years of age.
- Previous janitorial experience preferred.
- Stable employment history.
- Transportation experience a plus.
- Must be able to work and complete tasks within time constraints.
- Must follow all company safety practices.
- Night/weekend shifts may be required; must be flexible and dependable.
- Must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs., or more if required by the essential functions of the job.
- Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures, and Code of Conduct.
- Must be able to interact well with others.
- Must be able to work independently, or in a team setting.
- Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities.
