Project Engineer Job Description

Trillium Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and supporting new and innovative products and customer projects from the initial design stage through product testing and commercialization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop initial product design, including drawings and functional requirements, and research options to ensure the best possible outcome.
  • Perform design, strength, flow, vibration, thermal, and other types of analysis to ensure the product meets the required specifications.
  • Prepare detailed drawings and procedures for equipment and processes, and provide cost estimates and periodic updates on the product.
  • Develop product test plans and evaluate performance at the prototype, pilot, and field testing stages to ensure the product meets the required standards.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, sales, and marketing teams to ensure the product meets the customer's needs and expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and vendors as required, and ensure that products and processes are well documented.
  • Support the quality group with issue resolution and develop work instructions, manuals, and training for engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's in Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience in mechanical design, with practical knowledge of materials and manufacturing, and fundamental knowledge of mechanics, chemical processes, and electrical design.
  • Drafting knowledge, preferably in SolidsWorks and ACAD, and excellent technical communication skills, including proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, travel worldwide, and speak and read English fluently.
  • Valid Driver's License and U.S. Citizenship or ability to obtain work permit/residency in the U.S.
