Job Title: Controls Engineer I

Aerzen USA Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer I to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, documenting, troubleshooting, supporting, and commissioning automated control systems for our products and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interact with sales, project management, purchasing, production, and customer support teams to provide technical knowledge, expertise, and documentation regarding Aerzen blower and compressor equipment and control systems.
  • Adopt a quality mindset to fulfill customer expectations at appropriate levels of cost, following and applying the ISO 9001 design process where applicable.
  • Acquire knowledge and develop skills autonomously and under the strategic direction of direct management to support the business, performing assigned tasks and project work under the direction of a supervisor.
  • Understand and address product and project-related specifications, performing calculations, generating drawings, producing bills of materials, and designing equipment and systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET/EAC Accredited Program.
  • Field of study: Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Civil, Software, Environmental Engineering, or equivalent engineering degree.
  • Minimum 0-2 Years of Relevant Professional Experience in the Instrumentation & Controls Field.
  • Expertise in control system hardware and software design, process familiarity, PLC programming, operation, integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in structured text, ladder logic, and object-oriented programming, as well as MS Office programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Siemens (TIA Portal) and Rockwell/Allen Bradley (RSlogix 5000, Studio5000) programming experience.
  • VFD selection and programming, 2D and 3D drawing skills, and industrial communication protocols knowledge.
  • Lean manufacturing and industry best practices knowledge.
