Position Overview

Drive annual revenue objectives through effective leadership and management skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Formulate sales strategies and utilize performance metrics to assess, analyze, and enhance the effectiveness of the sales team.

2. Propel the team towards achieving yearly sales targets, boosting conversion rates, and ensuring accountability for both regional and individual team objectives.

3. Serve as the primary contact for escalated cases for the Outside Sales Directors within a designated region.

4. Scrutinize all high-net-worth proposals for precision and guarantee the incorporation of Abercrombie & Kent's exceptional moments and value in each proposal for the assigned region.

5. Oversee all weekly and monthly reporting for the Tailor-Made team, including follow-ups on Net Due, quality control checklists, weekly updates, and year-over-year/month-over-month statistical analysis by team and individual performance, ensuring team productivity is monitored monthly and quarterly.

6. Analyze booking trends and report findings to the Vice President.

7. Advocate for and facilitate communication channels across regional teams and throughout the organization.

8. Assess staffing needs and lead the hiring process for approved positions, adjusting team composition as necessary.

9. Manage administrative tasks related to staff, including approval of work hours and scheduling of paid time off.

10. Identify performance gaps, evaluate team effectiveness, and implement training initiatives.

11. Monitor and assess Tailor-Made team performance, providing recommendations for enhancements in processes, procedures, reporting, and technology across all teams.

12. Mentor and coach team members to uphold Abercrombie & Kent's sales and service standards.

13. Ensure the integrity of all sales, purchasing, and pricing frameworks is upheld.

14. Offer guidance on financial aspects of bookings as required (e.g., margins, profits) to team members.

15. Manage call queues to guarantee adequate phone coverage.

16. Ensure that familiarization trips are organized to optimize destination and product knowledge.

17. Adhere to company policies and procedures consistently.

18. Monitor business cycles to ensure adequate phone coverage during peak sales periods and familiarization trips.

19. Collaborate with Destination Management Companies, third-party suppliers, and internal departments to streamline booking processes, finalize sales, and address quality concerns.

20. Resolve escalated issues with team members effectively.

21. Propose enhancements for processes, procedures, reporting, and technology.

22. Coach and mentor all team members to ensure compliance with Abercrombie & Kent's sales and service standards.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated adaptability to evolving situations, procedures, and priorities.

- Proficiency in English is required; additional languages are advantageous.

Education and Experience

- A minimum of five years of experience in sales or customer service management is preferred.

- A bachelor's degree is required or relevant work experience.

- Experience in the luxury travel sector is preferred.

Special Requirements

- Availability for evening and weekend hours may be necessary.

- International travel may be required, and a current passport must be maintained.
