Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Documentation Specialist to join our team at Altus Community Healthcare.

Responsibilities:

  • Pull and review patient medical records for accuracy and completeness in a timely manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality and safeguard all patient-related information.
  • Coordinate the release of medical information to insurance companies, lawyers, state, and federal agencies.
  • Process subpoenas and court orders as directed by the VP of Medical Records.
  • Verify authorizations according to emergency room policy and procedures, as well as state and federal laws.
  • Ensure all record requests are stamped with date received and logged on the PI tracker.
  • Notify requesters when records are available.
  • Validate records compiled by vendors, complete affidavits, and submit requested documentation to the party.
  • Maintain a good working relationship within the department and other departments.
  • Adhere to hospital requirements, policies, and standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Filing of all records.
  • Answering the main phone line in the department to ensure requests are completed in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (a bonus).
  • Minimum of 2 – 4 years of successful B2B sales experience.
  • Proven track record of success in B2B sales, preferably within the legal industry.
  • Familiarity with personal injury litigation processes and challenges.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work independently.
  • Must be able to network successfully professionally, responsibly, and maintain a positive company image.

Salary: $55,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience.
