Overview:

The Senior Manager of Fund Accounting is a pivotal leadership role tasked with driving results through effective management of a dedicated team, overseeing a range of fund valuation operations in collaboration with the Operations - Transaction Services division.

The primary goal of this position is to guarantee the efficient execution of tasks related to Net Asset Valuations (NAVs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of professionals to achieve set objectives and perform personnel management duties, including performance assessments, recruitment, and disciplinary actions.
  • Recognize opportunities for process enhancements and propose improvements to systems, services, and workflows, including spearheading and assessing system testing.
  • Allocate staff assignments to maximize effectiveness by evaluating business needs alongside team skills and development requirements.
  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact for complex client issues.
  • Conduct thorough discovery and due diligence with clients, focusing on service quality metrics.
  • Oversee the Risk and Control framework, including audits, liaising with internal and external auditors, and identifying areas for process improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to pinpoint opportunities for cost reduction, workforce optimization, and efficiency gains.
  • Partner with Sales and Client Executives on client relationship management and service enhancement initiatives.
  • Diligently assess risks in business decisions, ensuring the protection of the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by adhering to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, while applying sound ethical judgment in all business practices.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Chartered Accountant/CFA/MBA credentials.
  • Proven experience in fund accounting.
  • Background in financial services accounting, strategic management, resource management, and client relationship management.
  • Experience in overseeing operational delivery.
  • Comprehensive understanding of fund services and associated processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Consistently exhibits clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the relevant field.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • A Master's degree is preferred.
