Role Summary
As a Mechanic II, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on AMR vehicles. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as an automotive or truck mechanic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute mechanical and electrical repairs following established policies and procedures.
  • Respond to vehicle breakdowns in the field as needed.
  • Collaborate with fellow mechanics to ensure efficient operations.
  • Operate company vehicles in compliance with safety standards and company policies.
  • Complete all necessary documentation accurately and punctually.
  • Utilize the maintenance database to log all completed tasks and assignments.
  • Attend all required Fleet training sessions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Shop Foreman or Lead Mechanic.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with information systems security protocols.

Accountability:

  • Ensure vehicles are repaired and maintained accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Quickly diagnose and repair vehicles during roadside incidents.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed neatly and accurately.
  • Keep track of all parts and materials used.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Foster positive working relationships with all team members and external contacts.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Undertake other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:
A valid driver's license is required.

  • High school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
  • Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience as a Line Mechanic or Mechanic Helper/Associate.
  • At least 2 ASE Certifications (Automotive or Truck series), preferably in Brake and Steering/Suspension.
  • MACS AC Certification or equivalent ASE Certification is preferred.
  • Two consecutive satisfactory performance evaluations.

Experience:

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting instructions, memos, and repair manuals.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions consistently.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.
  • Basic automotive knowledge and skills necessary for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Must possess a complete set of personal tools.
