The Animal Packing Specialist plays a crucial role in the preparation, securing, and transportation of diverse loads utilizing appropriate hitches for the task.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and pack loads of various sizes and weights, ensuring secure transport.
  • Provide care, feeding, and medical treatment for livestock, including administering injections.
  • Operate heavy machinery for the maintenance of livestock facilities and transport animals as needed.
  • Occasionally assume leadership responsibilities for trail crews in the absence of the designated leader.
  • Assist in using livestock for transporting supplies within designated areas, ensuring their well-being.
  • Support trail crew leaders by delivering supplies and maintaining equipment.
  • Uphold safety standards for livestock, visitors, and fellow workers during all operations.
  • Engage in trail construction and maintenance, utilizing hand and power tools while adhering to safety protocols.

This role is stationed in a national park setting, characterized by diverse weather conditions and a vibrant community. The area offers essential services and recreational opportunities for employees and their families.

Employment Conditions
