What will you be responsible for?
Oversee and manage beverage personnel to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of beverage services; uphold compliance with established policies and procedures while aligning with Boyd Gaming's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide exceptional internal and external guest service by embodying the Boyd Gaming service philosophy. Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor, ensuring politeness and courtesy in all interactions with guests and team members.
2. Recruit, schedule, assess, train, and develop the beverage team.
3. Recommend salary adjustments, promotions, disciplinary actions, and other employment decisions for team members.
4. Comprehend departmental goals, standards, guidelines, and budget to effectively supervise the department; modify daily schedules based on business demands.
5. Enhance beverage sales through market research and proactive adjustments to menu items, service quality, portion control, presentation, and waste management.
6. Formulate and execute departmental management strategies, including budgets, labor schedules, and accountability systems.
7. Organize beverage operations for optimal service delivery and overall coordination.
8. Foster a culture of courteous treatment towards customers and team members, addressing complaints, answering inquiries, and providing comprehensive service.
9. Ensure beverage servers, bartenders, and other staff meet or exceed established service standards.
10. Maintain appropriate staffing levels based on business volume to ensure effective outlet control.
11. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and operational manuals to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
12. Create and maintain necessary records, reports, and documentation to meet company expectations.
13. Facilitate effective communication between front-of-house and back-of-house operations, taking ownership of all designated areas.
14. Meet daily deadlines for preparing and distributing communication materials for pre-shift briefings and reviewing nightly reports.
15. Conduct periodic quality assessments of products and services, including service response times.
16. Monitor purchasing, staffing, and inventory to manage product and labor costs effectively, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
17. Supervise work areas to maintain cleanliness standards and address customer requests promptly.
18. Ensure all stations are adequately stocked and prepared for service.
19. Oversee the maintenance of equipment and working conditions to ensure operational efficiency.
20. Safeguard the integrity and viability of all beverage operations.
21. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
What qualifications are we seeking?
+ Must be at least 21 years of age.
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain valid gaming registration.
+ Proven management experience in a high-volume food and beverage environment. Typically acquired through a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or a related field, along with five years of relevant experience in food and beverage operations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating the ability to fulfill the responsibilities of this role.
