Job Overview

Caring Transitions of Powder Springs & Dallas, GA is dedicated to assisting individuals, particularly seniors, in navigating their transitions between different living arrangements. Our expertise lies in relocation, downsizing, and estate liquidation. We are currently seeking enthusiastic Part-Time Support Specialists to join our team in Powder Springs and Paulding County, with occasional opportunities in nearby areas. Position Summary:
Your Role: You will provide exceptional customer service while assisting clients in downsizing, relocating, and managing estate sales. Each day presents unique challenges, and your contributions will significantly impact the lives of our clients.


We Offer: Flexible part-time hours with no mandatory or guaranteed shifts, making it an ideal opportunity for parents with school-aged children, retirees, or anyone with a busy lifestyle. Note that weekend work is not required.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a team to assist clients in downsizing and relocating, as well as managing the sale of unneeded items.
    • Organize, pack, unpack, and help clients settle into their new homes or senior living facilities.
    • Sort items for recycling, donation, disposal, and cleanout.
    • Utilize handheld devices to document, photograph, and describe items.
    • Research, label, and manage items for resale.
    • Support buyers during on-site pickups and sales.
  • Be prepared to stand for extended periods, bend, lift items up to 25 pounds, hang items at or above 4 feet, pack/unpack and label boxes, and navigate stairs. Carry supplies and moving boxes to and from vehicles and within homes.
  • It is important to note that we do not provide moving services for furniture or items exceeding 25 pounds; professional movers are utilized for those tasks.
  • Adhere to best practices, health and safety protocols, and company policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Demonstrated compassion and respect for clients and their families.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and fluency in English.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
  • Willingness to work in cluttered or less-than-ideal conditions; we provide necessary protective gear.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Punctuality and attention to detail are essential.
  • Access to reliable transportation and a smartphone for scheduling, time tracking, photography, and project management.
  • Experience with estate sales, online selling platforms, and photography is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Completion of a pre-employment background check is required.
