About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Appliance Service Technician to join our team at GE Appliances. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest level of satisfaction with our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough diagnoses and repairs of major appliances in customers' homes
  • Promote and sell GE Appliances service contracts, water filters, and other products to customers
  • Operate assigned service vans to repair locations in a timely and efficient manner
  • Record all activities related to repairs, routes, and other service-related tasks
  • Attend training sessions, meetings, and other events to stay up-to-date on the latest repair techniques and industry developments
  • Manage maintenance and inventory of assigned service vans
  • Meet productivity and efficiency goals while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • At least 1 year of experience in appliance repair, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or property maintenance
  • Ability to diagnose and repair major appliances
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with some Saturdays as needed
  • Valid state driver's license and successful completion of background check, physical, and drug screen
  • CFC Certification within 6 months
  • Ability to wear uniform and maintain personal grooming and appearance consistent with GE Appliances values
  • Self-directed and solid team player
  • Ability to de-escalate situations and rebuild customer confidence in our products
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6 months of experience in Refrigeration repair
  • CFC Certified
  • Certification in appliance repair or Associate's degree
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and other service information
