We are seeking a skilled and experienced multimedia content developer to join our team at WHYY in Philadelphia. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for creating engaging and informative content across various broadcast and digital platforms.

Your role will involve producing multimedia journalism that showcases your ability to articulate a distribution strategy for content and individual stories. You will research, report, and write stories that demonstrate journalistic excellence for all broadcast and website platforms. Your experience in pitching in-depth and impactful story ideas at news and planning meetings will be essential in driving our news and feature stories forward.

As a self-starter, you will be capable of responding to news department needs and direction provided to produce a daily story, work on a project, or develop multimedia content as assigned. Your ability to meet assigned deadlines and execute multiple broadcast and digital workflows will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our production team.

We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 per year, taking into account the fast-paced setting of the Philadelphia region's leading public media provider. In addition to your salary, you will be entitled to a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

Preferred qualifications include a college degree in journalism or equivalent, with a minimum of five years of experience as a journalist. You should have producing skills and strong news writing experience across multiple platforms, including script writing, news writing, and broadcast/digital production. Experience with Microsoft Office software is required, and knowledge of audio editing software and equipment is preferred.
