About the Role

The Vermont Department of Taxes is seeking a highly skilled Tax Compliance Data Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Compliance Division, you will play a critical role in promoting and ensuring Vermont taxpayer compliance.

As a Tax Compliance Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data to identify compliance opportunities and develop strategies to address them. You will work closely with our team to design and implement data-driven solutions to improve compliance and reduce the risk of non-compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain databases and data systems to support compliance efforts
  • Analyze and interpret complex data to identify compliance opportunities and develop strategies to address them
  • Design and implement data-driven solutions to improve compliance and reduce the risk of non-compliance
  • Work closely with our team to develop and implement compliance programs and initiatives
  • Provide training and support to staff on compliance procedures and best practices
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, statistics, business administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis and compliance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
