About the Role

The Vermont Department of Taxes is seeking a highly skilled Tax Analyst III to join our Compliance Division. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and equitable collection of Vermont taxes.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing taxpayer records for compliance and providing education to taxpayers
  • Preparing tax assessments and adjustments to bring taxpayers into compliance
  • Responding to and working with taxpayers and/or their representatives
  • Participating in taxpayer appeals and/or settlements
  • Acting as a lead examiner, training and assisting other examiners with inquiries and questions

About the Compliance Division
