Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Admitting Coordinator to join our team at Guidehouse. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families, ensuring accurate and efficient registration processes, and maintaining the highest level of professionalism in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers
  • Accurately and efficiently register patients, collect necessary information, and verify insurance benefits
  • Escalate complex registrations to experienced team members and perform real-time insurance eligibility and benefits verification
  • Collect patient signatures and information at the point of service and perform collections and cashiering functions
  • Work assigned shifts, including 12-hour shifts, 8-hour shifts, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, rotating holidays and weekends
  • Serve as preceptors/trainers to orientees and mentors to new associates
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • One year or more relevant experience in a medical/hospital/clinical setting or customer service setting
  • One year of hospital Patient Access experience, Customer Service experience, Data Entry experience, or familiarity with Health Plans/Insurances
  • Bilingual
