Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Admitting Coordinator to join our team at Guidehouse. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families, ensuring accurate and efficient registration processes, and maintaining the highest level of professionalism in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers
  • Accurately and efficiently register patients, collect necessary information, and verify insurance benefits
  • Escalate complex registrations to experienced team members and perform real-time insurance eligibility and benefits verification
  • Collect patient payments and perform collections and cashiering functions
  • Ensure compliance with departmental requirements and hospital policies
  • Work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and serve as a preceptor/trainer to orientees
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • One year or more of relevant experience in a medical/hospital/clinical setting or customer service setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with healthcare software
