Hexagon Agility Sales Lead

Hexagon Agility is seeking a seasoned sales professional to lead our sales efforts in the Eastern Region of the U.S. as a Regional Sales Manager.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales, with a focus on the heavy-duty truck, bus, and vocational industry. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in multi-channel sales processes and a thorough understanding of the automotive industry and its processes are also necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pursue new business opportunities through expansion of existing CNG fleet expansion and driving new adoption of CNG in lieu of traditional diesel
- Develop a territory plan to grow the business, including definition of number of units expected to sell by market segment, planned customer/partner visits, and ongoing tracking and reporting vs. goals and targets
- Maintain existing customer relationships through regular in-person visits, account management, and support of ongoing requirements
- Translate customer requirements into a properly specified product, taking into account range requirements, vehicle chassis applications, space requirements, and project budgets
- Master the proprietary quote tools and product build out methodologies
- Control, influence, and manage the multi-channel sales process, coordinating with end customers, vehicle OEMs, chassis OEMs, engine OEMs, and associated OEM dealer stores, and 3rd party installation partners
- Be a subject matter expert and ensure a leadership presence at industry seminars, workshops, symposiums, and fleet nights
- Build a network of indirect partnership resources leveraging environmental advocacy, clean cities coalitions, clean fuels coalitions, natural gas and alternative fuel associations, Federal, State, County, and Municipal authorities, fuel suppliers, fueling infrastructure suppliers, natural gas research facilities, and other environmental influencers
- Communicate industry market conditions, competitive activity, and trending technology development and industry requirements to Sales Director and Marketing Director for assessment and action
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience in sales, ideally as a Territory Manager or Regional Sales Manager
- Ideally, should have had experience selling in the heavy-duty truck, bus, and/or vocational industry
- Thorough understanding of the automotive industry, structures, and processes, preferably in the heavy-duty sector
- Proficient in multi-channel sales processes, direct and indirect selling, vehicle specifications, vehicle layout drawings, installation criteria
- Ideal candidate will be process and results-driven with the ability to make decisions
- Strong teamwork & interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively, both orally and in writing
- Must have a valid passport and driver's license and be able to travel internationally in North America
Estimated Annual Salary Range: $150,000 - $220,000, plus a comprehensive commission plan, and excellent benefits package.
