Morning Bake Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bakery Team Lead to join our team at People's Food Co-op. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of a variety of baked goods, including breads, rolls, muffins, cookies, cakes, doughnuts, and other pastries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and baking of a variety of pastries, rolls, and other baked goods, including icing and frostings, according to established recipes.
- Monitor and maintain quality control standards to ensure that all products meet our high standards.
- Assist with the maintenance of culinary equipment, supplies, and materials.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure that all products are prepared and presented to the highest standards.
- Review production schedules to determine the variety and quantity of goods to be baked and to assemble supplies and equipment needed for daily baking activities.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Department Manager.
Requirements:
- Bakery and shift lead experience required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand or walk for the duration of the assigned shift.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb stairs or ladder.
- Ability to reach above shoulder height frequently.
- Ability to talk and hear to communicate with customers.
- Finger and hand dexterity with ability to grasp and hold items of different sizes.
- Vision ability – close, distance, peripheral vision and depth perception.
- Ability to read register screen and product and shelf labels.
