Job Summary

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our swim school. As a General Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring the school is running smoothly, managing staff, and providing exceptional customer service. If you're passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and have a strong background in management, we want to hear from you

Responsibilities
  • Direct and control the daily operations of the swim school to ensure it's running per GSS standard operating procedures.
  • Manage staff to ensure high productivity, excellent performance, and positive employee satisfaction.
  • Train and oversee the aquatics department to provide superior swim instruction to students.
  • Provide sales and marketing training to qualified sales staff.
  • Direct the retail and vending departments to ensure a proper mix of products and pricing.
  • Train and oversee private party staff to ensure GSS standard operating procedures are being maintained.
  • Gain knowledge and experience in the Links software to achieve a high level of competence in bookings, class scheduling, reporting, and administrative functions.
  • Gain a high level of knowledge and experience in GSS pool operations to maintain a safe and sanitary swim environment.
  • Initiate and oversee workplace employee activities to achieve improved employee satisfaction.
  • Direct and oversee the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and all safety procedures.
  • Maintain current certifications and stay up-to-date professionally on the aquatics and management field.
  • Schedule staff and manage payroll.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or equivalent desired.
  • Experience as a youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, or aquatics instructor/supervisor preferred.
  • Three to five years of management experience preferred.
  • Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications required.
Work Environment

While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.

Compensation

$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
