About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Voice Communications Specialist to join our team at iQuasar LLC. As a Voice Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining voice solutions using Avaya Aura 8.x systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and implement voice solutions using Avaya Aura 8.x systems, including Session Manager, Communications Manager, Media Manager, Systems Manager, Avaya G450/G430 Gateways, and Voice network provisioning (voice VLAN/Access VLANs).
  • Provide Tier 3/4 support to over 40,000 customers in the continental US, document voice networks, prepare and perform migrations plans.
  • Work with internal teams and Federal Agency to design and implement Voice Solutions leveraging Avaya Aura 8.x Platform.
  • Configure and Troubleshoot Cisco Session Border Controllers.
  • Assist with Integration with Microsoft Teams.
  • Recommend solutions, improvements, strategy, and architecture for voice networks.
  • Resolve issues related to Avaya Voice.
  • Implement and troubleshoot enterprise Voice-related solutions/incidents/system outages.
  • Support Voice Architect in designing voice engineering initiatives for all project-related and ongoing operations support for voice communications services.
  • Respond to escalated incidents and service requests from Delivery/Operations Teams.
  • Coordinate planned maintenance activities, coordinate/facilitate planned/unplanned service outages, and ongoing project-related support activities. Recommend and integrate new Telecommunication Voice, Video and Unified Communications technologies.

Requirements

  • DoD Active Secret or higher clearance. We will sponsor Clearance for the right candidate.
  • Avaya certifications preferred (not required): ACA or ACIS or ACSS or ACS or ACE or ACSA.
  • 5+ years of experience with voice systems and voice networks with emphasis in VoIP systems using H.323 and SIP.
  • Experience with configuring DHCP scope, option 242, 46xx settings file to configure voice features.
  • Experience with routing via AAR/ARS.
  • Experience with Avaya Communication Manager; Versions 7/8 are preferable.
  • Avaya Communication Manager (Avaya Aura Platforms) and Adjunct Administration, Maintenance, and Installation.
  • Experience with VoIP, inbound and outbound voice networks, experience with network protocols and circuit provisioning and standards, understanding of LAN protocols.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with project teams and managers as a service provider.
  • Strong team player and team mentor.
  • Experience with designing E911 solutions highly desired.
