About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated cell biologist to join our team at Moderna in Cambridge, MA. As a cell biologist, you will play a critical role in developing the in vitro data package to support the advancement of our technology platform and pipeline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the potency of novel delivery vectors in cellular models, including primary cells, co-culture, and organoids.
  • Perform plate-based assays, including ELISA, functional reporters, and microscopy.
  • Execute and troubleshoot protocols, independently adapt new protocols into practice, and query the literature to incorporate additional assays as needed.
  • General laboratory assistance, including ordering and receiving of lab supplies, preparation of reagents, and lab equipment maintenance.
  • Analyze, interpret, and present data to internal parties.
  • Accountable for project success and results delivery.
  • Closely collaborate with other members within the Biological Science department and broadly with departments throughout the company.
Requirements
  • Current student enrolled in a Bachelors or Master's program in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Biophysics, Biostatistics, Biotechnology, Mathematics, Molecular Biology, Pharmaceutical Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • High proficiency with mammalian cell culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a high-performing team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
