Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team at Aegis Worldwide. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for leading quality control operations and final inspection of finished products to meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and analyze quality problems, recommend, and implement solutions, and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Lead internal quality audit program and have a working knowledge of IATF16949.
  • Work in conjunction with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to drive continuous improvement to ensure quality objectives are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in daily Gemba Walks throughout the production floor and ensure quality issues have been identified and addressed.
  • Analyze defective parts and/or processes to determine root cause of defect and implement corrective/preventive actions to prevent future failures.
  • Manage tracking and reporting of warranty and quality issues throughout the facility.
  • Assign CAPA's for warranty and quality issues, train team members on appropriate problem-solving techniques, and verify implementation.
  • Apply statistical analysis and concepts to the manufacturing process.
  • Develop control plans, work instructions, and determine measuring equipment for new product implementation/manufacturing.
  • Perform Product and Process audits to determine the processes are good and are being followed.
  • Support analyzing warranty parts to determine the root cause of defect and provide solutions for corrective/preventive actions to prevent future failures.
  • Support notifying suppliers regarding nonconformities and ensure correction utilizing 8D.
  • Support calibration of measuring equipment.
  • Assist Management with maintaining and improving the Quality Management System to be consistent with IATF 16949.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of one or more of the following: Metal Fabrication, Machining, Coating, or Assembly.
  • Knowledge and practical application of lean manufacturing principles and tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership to plant personnel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Interpretation of statistical data, engineering prints, engineering specifications.
  • Demonstrates computer skills and aptitude, Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates punctual, reliable, and predictable attendance.
