Job Overview

The Warehouse Forklift Operator and Quality Assurance Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining high standards of quality and operational efficiency within the facility.

Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the Site Supervisor or Site Leads.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

Client Relations & Business Growth

  • Efficiently transporting materials across various locations within the facility to optimize operations.

Operational Duties

  • Conducting a thorough inspection of the forklift at the start of each shift.
  • Ensuring that all trucks are securely fastened.
  • Performing a Blind Tally on incoming and outgoing shipments as necessary.
  • Preparing products for shipment by banding or strapping, as required.
  • Removing outdated placards and managing dunnage.
  • Clearing away skids and containers.
  • Confirming the accuracy of quantities on labels and documenting any discrepancies.
  • Reassessing counts when variances are identified.
  • Ensuring proper placarding and labeling on all outgoing shipments.
  • Maintaining an organized warehouse and preparing the next load for shipment.
  • Acting as an inspector when needed.
  • Adhering to local Health and Safety regulations.
  • Supporting the company's Health and Safety policies.

Management & Organization

  • Overseeing inventory management.
  • Upholding a 5S working environment.

Technical Skills

  • Utilizing the company portal for time tracking and policy compliance.
  • Operating and managing technical equipment effectively.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Performing any other duties as assigned by management.
