Job Title: Radiation Therapy Technologist

Aldevra is seeking a qualified Radiation Therapy Technologist to administer therapeutic doses of ionizing radiation, utilizing advanced linear accelerators and record and verify Treatment Management Systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiation oncology and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Review and verify patient treatment plans and machine parameters prior to treatment
  • Perform quality assurance tests on treatment units and simulators
  • Position patients accurately on the treatment table
  • Obtain electronic portal images during treatment
  • Recognize emergency patient conditions and provide assistance
  • Maintain electronic charts for patients' setups and treatments
  • Coordinate with radiation oncologists, physicists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective treatment
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapy Technologist
  • Successful completion of a program in therapeutic radiologic technology
  • Certification in therapeutic radiologic technology by the ARRT
  • BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
  • Knowledge of specialized areas of therapeutic radiologic technology
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, with some bending and moderate lifting
