Advanced Practice Provider

An Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is sought to join the Neurointensive ICU team at UNC Faculty Physicians. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, effective leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities- Obtain relevant health and medical history, perform thorough physical assessments, and review diagnostic tests/results.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing and ordering evidence-based pharmacological agents.
- Conduct preventive health screenings and maintain comprehensive patient records.
- Lead interdisciplinary teams to provide integrated patient care services.
- Initiate and revise protocols to reflect evidence-based changes in care management.
- Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
- Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Certified Nurse Midwife) in the state of North Carolina.
- Board certification if required by the Department.
The Neurointensive ICU is a fast-paced environment that requires strong clinical skills, effective leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
