Position Overview

We are currently seeking applications for a qualified PRN Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant (RTA).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on a PRN basis (as needed) with a preference for availability during weekdays (Monday-Friday) to support the Columbine Therapy teams.
  • Engage in a Skilled Nursing Facility/Inpatient Rehabilitation environment.
  • Receive a competitive wage along with shift differentials.

Role Expectations:

  • Deliver high-quality care in accordance with the treatment plans set forth by the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).
  • Refer patients back to the DPT if there are any changes in the treatment plan due to alterations in the patient's condition.
  • Collaborate with the DPT regarding patient progress and status.
  • Educate patients and their families on home care programs.
  • Maintain comprehensive records related to patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, family members, and other team members regarding any changes or adjustments in treatment plans or patient conditions.
  • Assist the Physical Therapy Department with staff training and educational sessions as required.
  • Enhance clinical skills through ongoing educational opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program is required.
  • Possession of a current Colorado Physical Therapy Assistant license or eligibility (if applicable).
  • Experience in geriatric and long-term care settings is preferred.
