We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Set-Up Coordinator to join our team at Legends. As an Event Set-Up Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of events by assisting with event space set-up, furniture placement, and equipment distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with event space set-up, including furniture placement and equipment distribution based on specific client needs.
  • Remove and place furniture, count and distribute equipment, and manage linen storage and distribution.
  • Clean tables, chairs, rolling bars, action stations, and equipment, and assist with event breakdown.
  • Pick up and distribute items from the catering storage area and maintain the overall cleanliness of all catering storage areas.
  • Attend mandatory meetings and perform all assigned side work.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by management and supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work long hours and flexible shifts, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to transport up to 100 lbs. on a continuous basis.
  • Maintain personal hygiene and a well-groomed appearance.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting to set up and execute an event.
  • Willingness and drive to exceed guest expectations.
  • Ability to effectively listen and take direction from supervisor.
  • Excellent knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and remain standing for extensive periods.
  • Physical requirements that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling materials.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with the body, arms, and/or legs.
  • Ability to use abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or fatiguing.
  • Ability to use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
  • Extensive knowledge of reading and deciphering floor plans.
  • Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write the English language to communicate with management and guests.
