Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Infection Prevention Manager to join our team at Holy Cross Hospital. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective infection prevention and control programs across our hospital and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, lead, and maintain an infection prevention and control program that meets or exceeds regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with medical, nursing, and ancillary leadership to develop and implement evidence-based initiatives to protect patients, colleagues, and the community from healthcare-associated infections.
  • Oversee trending, analysis, and management of occupational exposures, and provide oversight to screening and immunizations.
  • Develop and review institutional policies, procedures, and guidelines related to infection prevention and control.
  • Ensure departmental goals are aligned with the hospital's mission, values, and strategic initiatives.
  • Interact with physicians, nurses, department managers, supervisors, and occupational health staff to provide resource information, resolve issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging infection prevention and control topics, regulatory requirements, and quality and reporting metrics.
  • Manage departmental budget and resources effectively, and perform financial/value analysis of programs and initiatives.
  • Provide reports to senior leadership and committees related to quality, safety, and process improvement.
  • Oversee daily operations of the Infection Prevention and Control Program, and ensure staff competency within established guidelines.
Requirements
  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Licensed RN in the State of Florida required. Preferred: Advanced or Master's level degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, etc.
  • Minimum: Certified in Infection Control (CIC). Preferred: Fellow of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (FAPIC), Fellow of the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (FSHEA).
  • Minimum: 3 Years Infection Control Coordinator experience. Preferred: 5 Years Infection Control Coordinator experience, experience in formal management role.
  • Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficiency in core competencies as defined by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC), problem-solving and analytical skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate, negotiate, and partner with diverse audiences.
