Job Summary

Lee Health is seeking an Infection Preventionist to join our team. This role will require an on-call rotation, rotating weekends and weekdays. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of experience in staff nursing or a related field are required. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of patient care practices and adult education principles, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Perform a leadership role in providing an active, effective hospital-wide Infection Prevention Program
Conduct surveillance, prevention, and control of healthcare-associated infections
Present critical information and statistics at Campus Leadership Morning Huddle
Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery
Develop and present educational programs to change caregiver practices
Serve on select hospital and/or system committees/task forces to provide effective infection prevention-related input

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related field
Three years of experience in staff nursing or a related field
Knowledge of patient care practices and adult education principles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with persons of varying education and cultural backgrounds
RN licensure by the Florida State Board of Nursing
