About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused **Store Lead Cashier** to join our team at Travel Centers of America. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a seamless shopping experience, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service Expertise: Serve each customer courteously, quickly, and efficiently with a sincere, positive, pleasant, and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Transaction Processing: Process transactions on a point-of-sale (POS) register, maintain a clean and well-stocked food and beverage area, and ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Inventory Management: Order, receive, and unload product, stock, organize, and rotate merchandise on planograms, and perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Team Leadership: Assist with creating and managing the team's schedule, train lower-level cashiers on job duties and responsibilities, and prioritize work according to store and management needs.
  • Safety and Security: Know and follow safety guidelines, report potentially unsafe situations caused by team members and customers, and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Customer Service Experience: A dedicated individual who works well with others and is excited to be part of our team.
  • Technical Skills: Computer/POS knowledge required, cash handling skills required, and register audits and safe counting experience preferred.
  • Inventory Management: Merchandising/stocking experience required, and good verbal communication skills.
  • Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
