Veterinary Technician Supervisor

VCA Colonial Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician Specialty Supervisor for our busy Emergency Department. We are a hybrid animal hospital and proud to be one of the premier providers of primary, specialty, and emergency care located in the heart of the beautiful Finger Lakes region in Upstate New York.

Responsibilities:- Full Technician Skill Utilization
- Experience in Critical Care and Emergency preferred
- Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
- Oversee hiring, training, performance, and staff development
- Oversee schedule and time off requests with leadership support
- Oversee service development and equipment needs
- Assist in the development of SOP for your department
- Coaching associates based on need to aid in their success
- Some regional travel required
- Facilitate communication of ideas, policies, standards, and performance
- Collaborate with leadership to develop performance improvement plans
- Support associates in their career via VTNE guidance, licensure guidance, and scheduling
- Maintain skill efficiency and knowledge
