Eye Care Specialist for Veterans Healthcare Assessments

Seeking a licensed Eye Care Specialist to conduct comprehensive eye exams for U.S. Veterans in a part-time opportunity.
About the RoleThis independent contractor position focuses solely on assessments, including Visual Field Testing, with no treatment responsibilities. The ideal candidate is passionate about serving Veterans and skilled in analyzing medical records and exam findings to create accurate, timely reports.
Key Responsibilities- Review Veterans' medical records through a secure web portal
- Perform thorough eye exams, including Visual Field Testing (VFT)
- Complete and submit evaluation forms via the web portal within 24 hours of the exam
As an Eye Care Specialist for MRG Exams, you'll have the opportunity to support those who served our country while enjoying a flexible work schedule. This part-time commitment includes Mondays and Wednesdays from 8a-4p, allowing for a great work-life balance.
Requirements- Licensed Optometrist or Ophthalmologist
- Proficient in Visual Field Testing (VFT)
- Credentialed to meet the VA's requirements
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Detail-oriented and capable of submitting forms within required timelines
The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000, based on industry standards and location. As an independent contractor, you'll enjoy autonomy in your work and flexibility in your schedule.
