Kitsap Mental Health Services is seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to join our senior leadership team as Director of People Experience.
This is a critical role that will oversee the administration of People Experience operations, including compensation, benefits, employee relations, and professional development. The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of key policies, processes, and training to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Promote and support KMHS's Mission, Vision, Core Values, and Code of Conduct policies across the organization.
- Oversee the administration of People Experience operations, including compensation, benefits, employee relations, and professional development.
- Collaborate with the CFO/CAO to implement strategic staffing plans aligned with the agency's budget and priorities.
- Manage employee relations and guide on complex matters while ensuring KMHS attracts and retains top talent.
- Analyze compensation trends and benefits offerings to ensure KMHS remains competitive in attracting talent.
- Align performance evaluation systems with clinical and operational goals and facilitate staff development programs.
- Provide ongoing support for People Experience staff's professional development.
- Lead the development and implementation of key policies, processes, and training to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Expert-level experience in managing complex systems and/or teams in large organizations.
- Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Generating professional documents and reports.
- Working with confidential information.
- Promoting an equitable and inclusive work environment.
- Ability to positively represent KMHS values in the workplace, online, and community.
- Employing exceptional customer service and communication (written and verbal) skills and exhibiting a professional demeanor.
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a diverse population, including employees at all levels of the organization.
- Leading projects from start to finish with a high degree of personal accountability.
- Master's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in healthcare or a clinical setting.
- Experience with diversity initiatives within an organization.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
- Seven to ten years of progressive leadership experience.
- Understanding of the unique workforce needs and challenges faced by healthcare organizations.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to engage collaboratively with all organizational levels.
- Ability to work with staff to promote a culturally competent workplace.
- Excellent verbal, writing, and presentation skills.
- Excellent public speaking and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated success leading improvement initiatives.
- High degree of initiative, judgment, energy, discretion, and decision making.
Kitsap Mental Health Services is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive behavioral health services to children, adults, and families. We serve over 5,600 clients through our inpatient, outpatient, and residential programs, and our team of over 600 compassionate professionals is committed to offering hope and healing to those in need.
