Job Summary:
Habitat for Humanity of Kitsap County seeks a seasoned Development Director to lead our fundraising efforts and drive revenue growth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all fundraising initiatives, including the annual fund, major gifts program, planned giving, special events, and capital campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve our organization's strategic plan and fundraising goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, stakeholders, and community partners to secure funding and support.
- Oversee the grants program, including research, relationship building, proposal writing, tracking, and reporting requirements.
- Manage and maintain a donor database, using data analysis to inform fundraising strategies and decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to fundraising and development activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in nonprofit management, business, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of fundraising experience, with a proven track record of success in securing five-figure gifts and building donor relationships.
- Excellent administrative skills, including contract administration and compliance, program development and evaluation.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office 365 and database software relevant to the position.
